Nineteen thousand apprenticeships are being created across Britain by the government in an attempt to reverse the slide into a double-dip recession. Vince Cable wants the positions to be taken up by youngsters struggling to get work in construction, finance and other industries. The business secretary has been in Cornwall launching the plan to Cornish companies. Today (1st December 2011) he visited TNT at Bodmin and Roddas at Scorrier. I caught up with him at Roddas to interview him.
