A Cornish Local Enterprise Partnership may have been given government backing, but the route to how it will be led, operated, funded and planned is still the topic of much discussion. There has been argument from several corners over whose voice should be the voice that matters and a range of business organisations have set out their stalls to try and become THE influential party.
Another key concern is: where will the funding come from. It is all very well and good to have an LEP, but if it hasn’t got access to money, then nothing will happen. Furthermore, no-one has yet agreed on exactly what the programme of works and projects will look like.
So much left undone – so much to be decided. Business Cornwall Magazine set up a ’round-table discussion’ which was webcast on 11th March 2011 from the Engine House at Wheal Kitty in St Agnes. KernowPods was there to capture the event.
