Prof Stenton spoke about the opportunities for communities
Digital business leaders have been meeting at Tremough Campus at Penryn in Cornwall to discuss where Next Generation Broadband will take Cornwall, the opportunities it presents – and the challenges too. Twenty four businesses, including designers, developers, video producers and innovators met to discuss the route ahead for super-fast broadband.

Tremough event brings digital businesses together.
This series of talks and round table discussions looked at topics such as: how high speed internet can link communities, how those communities will use the broadband, will new opportunities be opened up by the web access, will it bring new wealth to rural areas, and how can we make sure the developments that come from the BT roll-out programme will be sustainable?
Among the speakers at the event were: Prof Phil Stenton (Associate Dean for Research and Enterprise at the School of Media and Performance) and Dr Ranulf Scarbrough (programme director at BT).
Matthew Clarke attended the event on behalf of www.businesscornwall.co.uk
Interesting discussion, however is there any indication of said super broadband will be available / rolled out in Cornwall?
