KernowPods is a business, based in Cornwall, delivering skills derived from a broadcasting experience of two decades. Essentially, these skills are all about clear, concise and engaging communication.
KernowPods is owned by Matthew Clarke, a trained broadcast journalist. Matthew has worked for a long list of great radio stations across the south of the UK. He currently freelances at Radio Plymouth.
VIDEO PRODUCTION:
KernowPods works as part of the Cornish Living TV collective. We have produced high quality content for Combined Universities Cornwall, Pool Innovation Centre, Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency, Sky News, ITV, Richfords Fire & Flood and many more. Talk to us about how we plan your production, shoot it and how we offer a great quality for a great price.
MEDIA TRAINING:
I have trained Cornish businesses such as: Frugi, Heligan, Richfords, Heartlands and Newquay Zoo in how to engage with the media. As a journalist, I receive copious amounts of press releases. I can now reveal the tricks of the trade to my clients. We look at how to keep interviews on your agenda whether good news… or bad. I work with Hunters Moon Productions to set up a TV interview role-play scenario for clients. This is their chance to learn how to cope with disasters.
VOICE COACHING:
There are countless businesses out there with great stories and incredible products and services. When it comes to presenting them at seminars and conferences, sometimes the passion does not come through as clearly as it could. I work with clients to enhance presentations by working on: pace, tone, inflection, rhythm and vocabulary.
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
Part of KernowPods work is taking this vast media experience from the desk-editor’s side of things, and using it to help clients get their message across. Within the past weeks, I have achieved exposure on BBC Spotlight, BBC 5 Live, Scottish Daily Record, London Evening Standard and Heart Radio.
PODCASTING:
This is where KernowPods started out – producing podcast material for clients. One of our main outlets is through BusinessCornwall.co.uk. Have a listen to our business podcast stream. In the past quarter, we achieved well over ten thousand listens. We also produce audio tours for clients. The latest examples are on the Visit East Cornwall website and at the National Memorial Arboretum.
